Aboriginal Practices and Perspectives: This sub-theme will allow participants an opportunity to learn from traditional Aboriginal coastal practices and focus on Aboriginal coastal stewardship practices of the present we can plan collectively for the future. Community - based Action: With two of the driving forces behind the Youth Forum being Action and Empowerment, it is important that things are accomplished during and after the conference. As part of the Youth Forum, we will discuss community-based actions to learn from past experiences and give us ideas for the future. Action at the citizen level is often the most powerful. Coastal Health: This sub-theme will encompass all elements of coastal health that can be linked to the quality of the marine environment. As well some of the threats to coastal health will be addressed, but more importantly a clear call for action will made.
