Water doesn’t grow on trees

ut it does depend on them. Healthy, natural forests are essential to maintaining rivers and watersheds, which are the lifeblood of the world's water supply. When forests are cut down, rivers and lakes can be damaged along with them, and the risk of flooding is increased. If we are going to maintain and protect our water supply, we must also work on maintaining and protecting our forests. So water doesn't grow on trees, but our water supplies can't survive without them.
